The iPad is a tablet computer developed by Apple Inc. The iPad is to be available for sale at the end of March (Wi-Fi version, worldwide) and end of April (Wi-Fi + 3G version, in the United States and some other countries) 2010.International 3G prices are to be announced summer 2010.The Wi-Fi + 3G iPad will be unlocked so it can be used on other mobile carriers that support GSM micro-SIMs. 3G will be provided in the U.S. by AT&T and sold with two prepaid contract-free data plan options, the cheaper of which only includes 250 MB of data a month, but it is half the price of the unlimited plan. The plans will be activated on the iPad itself and can be canceled at any time.

binasa ko na yung review nya sa cnet. may point yung nag review. for people like me, who bring around a laptop, this is not recommendable. magiging doble ang bitbit mo since it cannot function as a full computer. more on organizer/media player lang sya.

i don't like saying 'i told you so' because i hate it when i'm right
well.. i just seen this on cnn last week and i think will not gonna be that popular.. and the only problem with this is that you can only use one application at a time meaning u can't minimize it and open another application at the same time.. what a crap
yari ang kindle ng amazon
another ebook reader competition.
though i guess may advantage pa rin ang kindle
as it is geared mainly as ebook reader.
yung ipad parang a little bit of everything.
First of all, it is true that there is very little market for the iPad right now, if at all. But Apple is very good at *creating* the market for it's products. Just like the iPhone which ate into the market of the different categories of mobile phones as well as single-handedly creating the demand for the mobile web.
The target market for the iPad are people who just need a device to surf the web, check their mail, chat online, consume media and play simple games independent of OS. I personally know a lot of people with laptops who only really need it for the uses stated above. The iPad will then be convenient for them as it's smaller and lighter which makes it easier to carry, cheaper than laptops, and has an intuitive and superior interface.
It will capture the Kindle userbase with it's iBook application which is essentially an appstore for ebooks. There is no limit to what an iPad could do what with the existing 140,000 apps already in the appstore that is immediately compatible with the iPad.
Again, the aim of the iPad is not to replace your current computer, but to become an internet appliance.
