democratic senator back obama is against outsourcing.. most filipinos benefit from outsourced jobs from the US.. the call center industry is one of the highest revenue earning industry in the philippines right now.. but obama has been clear about his stand against outsourcing.. what will then happen to our economy after the 2008 US presidential election.. will obama take back all the jobs to the US.. what will happen to thousands of people working in outsourced industries in the philippines..
i don't think he can do it just like that. kasi kapag ginawa niya yun magkakaproblema sa US-RP relationship/friendship whatever na matagal na matagal nang existing. unless he is willing to break that, which will definitely be a wrong move KUNG manalo siya at yan ang gawin niya. basta yun na yun.
magkaron man ng problema eh parang nagtampo tau sa bigas sino ba tau para magalit sa us kung tanggalin man nila ang outsourcing business dito satin in fact di naman stable ang magwork sa isang outsourcing company di ba ? ang most of us ms pinipili pa natin ang magtrabaho dun kesa luminya sa kursong tinapos naman natin di ba mas maganda kung bibigyan tau ng gobyerno ng trabahong ukol naman satin di ba indi ung ibang bansa pa ang nagbibigay ng trabaho satin
The call center industry may be the highest revenue earning industry, for now...
30 years ago, rice and coconut industries were the highest domestic revenue earners, and Philippines wasn't experiencing rice shortage as we were even exporting rice surplus.
Now, if and when Barrack Hussein Obama wins the US presidency, can our displaced call center agents plant rice instead?
We have to revive our agricultural industry somehow, and the displaced call center agents would definitely fill the 'farmer shortage' gap.
That would mean lotsa lotsa English speaking farmers, eh?

i heard that a lot of call centers here are now downsizing their work force.. probably because of recession... and plus the fact that US workers are already accepting salaries way beyond their minimum wage..
it's really a tough time for the US now and if obama wins he would like to give the jobs back to his citizens.. poor Philippines..
its still to early to worry about it right? even if obama does that, it wont be an overnight thing. he also need to consider the fact that companies are outsourcing because it reduces costs. in the end, it will still be the company's decision on how they are going to rung their business
but i believe that at the end of the day, US companies would still realize that they are getting quality work at a lesser price when they outsource especially here in the Philippines...
just a friendly reminder though to call center swingers (agents who jump from one CC to another because of a higher compensation).. try to love your job and the company that you work with now... you might find yourself jobless if you continue such practice,,, patience is still a virtue
mismo! what will happen to those call center agents? uso pa naman ngayon ang call centers kasi nga madali pasukan...but the thing is, ganyan ang mangyayari sa pinas, 'cause we rely sooo much to other countries and their industries, ayan pag nawala, para na tayong napilayan...ackkk! the gov't should provide more jobs (i think they're doing naman) and most of all, pinoys should be consistent, wag sa call center lang ang pangarap...
i don't think it will happen... hindi kayang kontrolin ang strategy ng companies within US. isa ito sa effective strategy ng mga companies sa US, ang outsourcing... hindi lang call centers ang inaa-outsource... marami pang iba...
kaya ba ng mga americans na mabuhay sa sweldo na binibigay nila sa pinoy? kung kaya nila... then, what's the use of outsourcing...?
kung ire-regulate ng america ang outsourcing, eventually, companies will then have their headquarters overseas than have it in america... mas maliit ang tax na babayaran nila, mas mura ang labor cost, and mas madali para sa kanila ang distribution of finished products...
they really have to think it through...
sa kaso ng mga call centers, totoong its a booming industry but in today's turbulent time, love your jobs... and try to make the most out of it... meaning alamin ang dapat malaman sa mga trabaho nyo ngaun... mas malaki ang magiging benefit from you kung marami kayong alam kesa sa stuck in one position... strive for something higher than that... hehehe! :))

if obama wins the US presidential election
he will be the whitest black and the blackest white to take the office lol
OT: even if he's against outsourcing, the businesses will have to find their ways to survive. hope he sees that if these companies will operate in US alone, it will be more expensive for them which in the end will cause them to shut down or hire less people. its just counter productive.
Being a President if siya man... hindi naman siguro gagawa ng move agad yan na magkakaroon ng problema along the relationship with us... papayag ba naman tayo? hindi di ba... so bahala na si Gloria dyan (diyos ko po! kung bahala kay Gloria san na tayo pupulutin!)
it is still a long way.. if ever obama will do that we cannot do anything because as a president, he only wants that her people should be the priority and i see it as a good move kumbaga sa atin eh "bayan muna" unlike dito sa atin na tanging ang mga nakakataas lamang ang nakakakuha ng magagandang trabaho kaya karamihan sa atin eh nangingibang bansa pa. Tsaka hindi yan ganung kadali gawin dahil ang mga may ari pa rin ng BPO ang madedesisiyon kung paano nya palalakarin ang kanyang negosyo.
i doubt obama will win... people think he'll win but there are a lot of people here in america are still not ready to have a 'colored' man as their leader... outsourcing may be important, but that may not be the case here... he has to win first and then we'll see what happens...
