Siiti is one of my favorite Bossa Nova Singer all over the world.

Marami-marami din akong collection sa mga album niya sa bahay. Masarap sa tinga yung mga kanta. Kapag meron akong problems yung album niya ang kanyang pinapatugtog... Kahit may nagsabi na pang-commercialized ang kanyang boses ay fan pa rin ako ni Sitti Navarro.

example na lang ung eheads reunion concert...sana napakinggan nyo ung reunion concert ung sa the fort na nirelease sa record bar.... and ung the final set na un-edited sana napakinggan nyo din ang pangit ng tunong pag hindi pa edited....

Sitti, queen of Philippine bossa nova? meron pa bang ibang artist na sumikat na same genre rin as sitti?

sorry guys for my comment. maybe i'm just not the type who's in to bossa nova. i just want to react on the tag given by the thread starter to Sitti who i still consider a newbie in Philippine music industry and i don't know if it's rightful to dub her as the "queen of bossa nova" in our country where in fact there aren't so many artists who does the same type of music. another thing is for somebody to be dubbed as queen, she should have dominated that field, sold out tickets and filled up stadiums for her shows and of course, sold gazillions of albums. ok the last part was just an exaggeration on my part. but my point is had Sitti accomplished such with consistency? if she did, then hats off to her and she would be rightful for that moniker. otherwise, she's just another singer... at least to me.

^^^hey, i don't mean to offend you on my comments. well, to be honest w/ you, i don't know or heard of any of those other bossa artists you've mentioned. that's probably why you dubbed Sitti as the queen since most of her "rivals" in the same genre ain't that successful at all. still, i'm contesting the title "queen" even if she stands out from the rest of the "unknowns." parang ganito lang yan e, naging #1 b default since wala namang ibang kalaban. maybe that's just me not being a fan of Sitti at all.
