Tapos sabi nung nag-post, "masyadong maliit ang monitor lizard, blah," e alam ko, ang Komodo Dragon, na siyang largest lizard in the world, is a monitor lizard. Magkwento raw ba...
@necro: Mollusca is under Kingdom Animalia. Sabi ng thread title e.
@warren
@necro: kung 'di ako nagkakamali, walang Kingdom within another Kingdom (subkingdoms, maybe?).
Anyway, wala nga dyan (mammals, reptile, birds, amphibians) yung mollusks. ) e. Yung mga nabanggit mo, puro vertebrates lahat.
@warren
The crab has an orange body, but it has white spots on its thin legs. In male specimens, the limbs on which the claws are located become longer than its other limbs, and a large male, when spread out, can widen them to more than 3 m. Unconfirmed reports suggest a maximum spread of nearly 8 m [2]. The width of the oval-shaped and vertically rounded shell can reach up to 30 cm, and can be up to 40 cm long.
Its compound eyes are situated on the front, and two thorns stick out between them. Younger specimens feature hair and thorns on the shell, and their frontal horns are longer, but these gradually atrophy as the crab ages.
A uropygid, commonly known as a whip scorpion, is an invertebrate animal belonging to the former order "Uropygi" in the class Arachnida, in the subphylum Chelicerata of the phylum Arthropoda. They are also known as the vinegarone or vinegaroon (in Spanish, vinagrillo or vinagrón) because when agitated they can spray a secretion of acetic acid.
The name of the order should be properly Thelyphonida (a typified name), because the circumscriptional name Uropygi Thorell 1882 originally includes the "Tartarides" (now Schizomida) and should be used instead for the name of a broader group (which is also a well-recognized clade) including the Thelyphonida and Schizomida.
