FlashForward is a science fiction television series currently in production by ABC Studios for the 2009–2010 television season. It is based on the novel Flashforward by Canadian science fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer. With the end of Lost in 2010, ABC studios hopes it will be a companion series to the show during its sixth and final season.

PLOT
A mysterious global event causes everyone to simultaneously experience, for two minutes and seventeen seconds, his or her life six months in the future. When they wake up from the "flash forward", everyone is left wondering if what they saw will actually happen. Many are dead in accidents involving vehicles, aircraft, and any other device needing human control.

A Los Angeles FBI agent named Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes) tries to figure out what exactly happened and why it happened. Along with his team, he creates a database of people's flash forwards from around the world called the Mosaic Collective (a website for which has been launched).

Differences between the novel and the series
In the novel the protagonist is Lloyd Simcoe, a 47 year old Canadian particle physicist works with his fiancée Michiko, who has a daughter, Tamiko, who is killed as an out-of-control vehicle plows into her school. In the series, the episodes revolve around Agent Benford. However, a character named Lloyd Simcoe (portrayed by Jack Davenport) will appear on the show.

The visions experienced by people in the novel take place 21 years in the future, in the TV series the interval is only six months.

Being an extreme LOST fanatic, I will definitely be all over this one (especially since LOST will be on it's finals season this 2010 :( ). I have been reading some random stuff regarding this new series but I have been extremely lazy to google info...this thread will be a great starter. Thanks!

^actually, ang daming bagong series sa abc, and this one would replace the conclusion of Lost. Actually, I'm currently lost with "Lost", so this one would be a breather.

really? that's too bad, medyo nagpick-up na yung story sa season 5. mas marami na kase sila sinasagot/nireresolve na plot points kaya medyo maganda na yung flow ng story. pero if this really is replacing LOST nice! medyo maganda yung concept at parang LOST din na "time" based.

About Lost, kelan naman kaya ipapalabas sa Studio 23 yung season 5? I'm getting tired of all their season 4 replays, haayy... (And I don't like downloading s5, hehe.)

Flashfoward huh? I would like to see the pilot first before I say something else, but undoubtedly this will never be the next LOST.

LOST is a cult, a phenomenon, a masterpiece that comes once in a lifetime on TV. It will be a very long time before a show can match the brilliance of LOST.

Sadly the show will end next year but I surely enjoyed the ride....

Well anyway, I hope this Flashforward show will not be an X-Files rip-off just like what I'm seeing in Fringe. hehe

sorry I made another thread for this I searched for flashforward walang lumabas. Anyways I just watched this show and its interesting and they saw somebody alive while the blackout happened.
