finally nakabili na ako ng copy at tapos ko na basahin..
hanep yung mga 80's references ni Bob! from food brands to appliances to tv shows. hahahha. nostalgic feeling. although i just feel that the story is a bit rushed.
story-wise, it is bland. but if we're talking about the substance, i think it's very rich. i really like this book, kapitan sino. a must read, if you ask me.

hindi siya masyadong political tulad ng dati. more on social behavior ang takbo. the only political thing there was on the last few chapters. nakakalungkot isipin na yung political aspect na naikwento nya noong 80's is the same thing happening 20 years later.

yeah. politicians riding on the popularity of other people. they don't want to make a name for themselves. i mean, they are afraid to take huge steps because they are "always trying to please everybody" which is impossible.
ah yeah, it's getting worse by the day, actually.

i was about to say the same thing. i like the 80's vibe of Kapitan Sino. and the plot was sooo Pinoy!
Yes nakabili na ulit ako ng libro ni Bob Ong, "Ang paboritong aklat ni hudas" medyo mga kathang isip na lang nya pero pawang mga katotohanan pa rin at talagang mga nangyayari at makahulugan pa rin...
